Technology Expert, Versatile Technical Writer Extraordinaire

As a journalist, content marketer, B2B technology writer, and product marketing copywriter and editor with 17 years of experience, I’ve written thousands of articles on a wide range of technology subjects, ranging from the wireless networking to cybersecurity, cloud platforms, and quantum computing. My approach is to translate the complexities and nuances of technical subjects into understandable prose for whatever audience I’m writing for, with a clear focus on always explaining not just what something is, but why it matters.

Below is a sampling of my professional work.

This ghostwritten whitepaper for CDW focuses on the benefits of hybrid cloud environments for businesses. My role was to research the topic, interview subject matter experts, and translate complex technical concepts into clear and compelling messaging for a business audience. I focused on highlighting the practical benefits of hybrid cloud, such as cost optimization, scalability, and agility.

This ghostwritten AWS blog for Anthony Liguori, and AWS VP and Distinguished Engineer for EC2, required a deep understanding of confidential computing and the ability to explain its technical details in a way that was accessible to a technically-minded audience. My role involved working closely with AWS engineers to ensure accuracy and clarity.

This article, published in BizTech magazine, explained why IT leaders need a strategic roadmap for application modernization. I focused on explaining why IT leaders should prioritize which apps to upgrade, align the effort with business objectives, get stakeholder buy-in, map dependencies, create data migration checklists, and working with trusted partners to get the job done.

This Confluent blog, co-authored with Confluent Field CTO Will LaForest, dives deep into how the SIEM/SOAR security stack has reached a breaking point, and how CISOs are increasingly building their own managed security lakes and betting on Apache Iceberg to do so. It explains that SIEM is not going away, and is instead becoming the tip of the spear for high-value, high-context analysis while the Open Security Lake handles the massive volume of forensic data.

This article, published in FedTech magazine, explores the concept of cluster computing and its applications in federal IT. I focused on explaining the benefits of cluster computing for government agencies, such as increased processing power, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

This article, published in BizTech magazine, explains how quantum computing poses risks to organizations’ encryption of data, but there are efforts underway to address those challenges. I interviewed quantum computing experts and translate highly technical concepts into real-world cybersecurity implications for IT security leaders and professionals.

This article, published in StateTech magazine, explains the concept of Retrieval-Augmented Generation, or RAG, which is important to making AI responses to users accurate and comprehensive. I wrote this explainer to offer readers clarity and insight about a critical AI topic.
